The 19th General Chapter is a significant event in the history of our congregation. The preparation began on May 1, 2023, with a congregation-wide Eucharistic Adoration under the theme of “இயேசுவின் பணிவென்னும் பாதையில் இறைஊழியரின் வாரிசுகளாய்” On November 25 and 26, 2023, an essential seminar took place at the Infant Jesus Ashram in Trichy. It was attended by key figures, including General, and all the Provincials, Province administrative sisters, former Superior generals, Formators, preparatory Committee members, and Finance Committee members.

The first day of the seminar started with a Eucharistic Adoration, led by Sr. Cordul, offering divine blessings. Rev.Sr. Reginal, Superior General shared valuable insights into the current situation and drew lessons from the devotional work experiences of the sisters, punctuated by both successes and failures. The subsequent session facilitated group discussions, enabling participants to share their experiences and fostering a collective understanding crucial for planning and implementing forthcoming programs.

On the second day, Rev. Fr. Joe Arun SJ guided the sisters through profound reflections on the central theme of the General Chapter, enlightening them on the essence of “Heir (வாரிசு).” Through historical narratives, he underscored the remarkable endeavours of the Founder of this Congregation Servant of God Annammal, who even in the 19th century embraced societal outcasts, embodying the values of compassion and service and thereby encouraging us to be successors of her in faith and service. A total of 83 participants engaged in this enlightening two-day workshop.

The seminar culminated with an earnest request for the participating sisters to disseminate their enriched experiences throughout the entire congregation, fostering a shared understanding of the transformative values that were shared during the seminar.
