Valan province Day

Valan province Day

   August 1, 2015

During this year of Consecrated life, the Family Day of Valan Province of SAT was celebrated on 1st August, 2015, in ARCH, Palayamkottai. Sisters adorned with flowered brooches in their dress and smile on their lips filled the campus. A sense of Unity, joy, enthusiasm and happiness enveloped them. Mother Reginal, Superior General, hoisted the Congregation’s flag, Sr. Yesu Thangam, Provincial, led the sisters to take oath and with vibrant joy the Congregation’s Anthem was sung by the sisters.

A fruitful one hour Eucharistic Adoration and the Holy Mass celebrated by the Bishop, filled with angelic hymns, Word of God and reflection centered on consecrated life, binded the sisters with the Almighty and with each other. A sumptuous meal and relaxed interaction with one another nourished their body and mind, respectively.

The reflection given by Mother Reginal took the sisters to the Roots and Charism of our Congregation and enabled the sisters to renew the essence of religious life, prayer life, community life, and the commitment to the mission. The presence of the former Provincials, Sr. Emmelda and Sr. Immaculate, added more joy to the event. Momentos were presented to all the sisters. The Vice-Provincial, Sr. Fatima, thanked everyone for their participation.

This day’s events enriched the sisters with family spirit and a sense of commitment to continue their journey in the footsteps of Jesus and the Foundress Mother Annammal.
